What write-like does

write-like connects to your Gmail account (read-only), analyses your sent emails to build a writing style profile, and uses that profile to rewrite AI-generated text so it sounds like you.

What we access

We request read-only access to your Gmail sent mail. We only read emails you have sent — we never read, modify, or access emails from others, your inbox, or any other folder.

What we store

• Your email address (used as your account identifier)
• Sent email content — temporarily, for analysis only
• Your writing style profile (the analysis output — no raw email content)

Raw email content is automatically deleted within 12 hours of your writing profile being completed. You can also delete it immediately at any time from your dashboard.

How we use your data

• To build and store your personal writing style profile
• To rewrite text in your voice when you request it

We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers, use it for advertising, use it for credit or lending purposes, or use it to train AI models. Your data is used solely to provide the service to you.

Third-party services

• Google OAuth — for sign-in and Gmail access
• Supabase — for secure database storage
• OpenRouter / Google Gemini — for writing style analysis. We use a no-log policy. Your email content is not used to train any AI model.
• OpenRouter / Anthropic Claude — for text rewriting. We use a no-log policy. Your text is not used to train any AI model.

Google user data is never transferred to any third party for advertising, data brokering, credit assessment, lending, or any purpose other than providing the features described above.

Your rights

You can delete all your data — emails, writing profile, and account — at any time by clicking Clear all in your dashboard. We will remove everything immediately.

You can also revoke Gmail access at any time via Google account permissions.

Data security

All data is stored in encrypted databases. Access tokens are never stored in plaintext. Email content is held only as long as needed for analysis, then permanently deleted.

Google API Limited Use disclosure

write-like's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Gmail data for any purpose beyond providing the writing style analysis and rewrite features described in this policy.
